Injectables and fillers are a fantastic way of quickly and easily transforming your facial contours. Ideal for smoothing out unwanted wrinkles or hollows, they can also be used to contour facial features pro-actively. Many people find that as they age, the fat which underlies the skin tissue begins to consolidate and move downwards. This results in the face losing volume, creating an unwelcome, aged look. Fillers and injectables can deal with this problem, restoring plumpness to cheeks and the under-eye area, as well as helping to sculpt the face into a more attractive shape.
We offer a selection of advanced filler and injectable treatments that are designed to act quickly and safely. Administered by our team of qualified and experienced skin care experts, we can put together a program of cosmetic improvement that could completely transform your look. Take a look at our selection of injectable and filler options, each of which can give your face a rejuvenated, more youthful appearance.
Botox
One of the most well-known injectables, Botox works by relaxing the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Over time, repeated muscle movements cause the skin of the face to wrinkle, creating an unpleasantly aging effect. A carefully administered Botox injection can create an attractive, smooth appearance, reducing the visibility of unappealing lines and wrinkles.
Where can Botox be used?
Botox is frequently used to tackle the frown lines which can appear between the eyes. It is also a suitable option for forehead lines and crow’s feet. In some cases, Botox is an appropriate treatment for the lines which can form around the lips, the furrows which may appear on the cheeks or a dimpled chin – your skin care professional can advise on whether Botox is going to be appropriate for the changes you have in mind.
Botox needs to be repeated every few weeks to maintain the desired effects – our treatment specialists can advise on a schedule that’s right for you. A well-established treatment to reduce the visibility of fine lines and folds, Botox is generally well-tolerated and suitable for a wide variety of different people.
Juvederm
Juvederm is one of several Hyaluronic Acid (HA) gel fillers currently on the market. FDA approved, a significant advantage of Juvederm is that once administered, the effects can last for up to a year. Hyaluronic acid has the capacity to absorb substantial amounts of water; over time, areas injected with hyaluronic acid plump up as the volume of water held in them increases. This leads to smoother skin, eliminating the hollows, sags and softening which can be unfortunately accompaniments to the aging process.
HA not only works to create volume in the underlying skin tissue, but it can also work wonders for the surface of the skin, replenishing moisture in depleted areas. Increased hydration can make the skin appear smoother, minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Where can Juvederm be used?
We commonly recommend that Juvederm is used to tackle the stubborn wrinkles and folds which can form around the nose and mouth. If you suffer from smile lines or vertical lip lines, Juvederm may well make a positive difference. It can also be used to plump and firm the lips.
Juvederm is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that’s rapid and long-lasting.
Kybella
If you suffer from unwanted fat beneath the chin, Kybella can be the perfect solution! Also known as submental fullness, excess chin fat is a problem for people of all ages. Often becoming more noticeable with aging, a sagging chin can detract from the contours of your face and add years to your appearance!
Kybella is FDA approved to deal with this problem, literally dissolving the fat to leave the skin beneath the chin firmer. Administered over the course of six sessions, each at a 4-weekly interval, Kybella contains the active compound deoxycholic acid. The Kybella compound destroys the fat cells in the area it’s introduced to, so it’s widely seen as a permanent solution to the problem of fat accumulation under the chin.
The procedure requires multiple injections at each session to ensure that the entire area where the problem fat is found has been appropriately treated.
Kybella is widely tolerated and is suitable for many different people. Kybella can be used as a stand-alone treatment to target a single problem area (the chin), or as part of a wide program of facial transformation.
Our fully qualified and trained team is always happy to advise you on what is best for your unique skin requirements, ensuring you end up with the desired outcome. Experienced and skilled, we do everything we can to make your beauty treatments as comfortable and efficient as possible.
Dysport
Similar to Botox, Dysport relaxes the facial muscles, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles in problem areas becoming less visible. This a relatively new product, which reviews suggest can really make a difference when it comes to frown lines, forehead wrinkles, cheek furrows and similar unwanted features. The main advantage that Dysport has over Botox is that it tends to cause the body to form fewer antibodies against it. Fewer antibodies means that the effects of Dysport should last longer than a Botox injection.
Dysport also tends to disperse through a wider area once the injection after completion, meaning that fewer injections are required to cover a larger area. The compound is injected into the problem area, with results appearing in the few days or weeks following treatment. If you feel that Dysport may be right for you, our skin care advisors are always happy to discuss the benefits it might bring, as well as give you all the information you need to plan what’s right for you.
Restylane
A dermal filler, Restylane is created from non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. When injected under the skin, it acts as a reservoir for water. This creates a full, smooth appearance to the skin, minimizing hollows, plumping out wrinkles and helping to bring effective contouring to the facial features. It can be used anywhere on the face to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and may also be used for lip augmentation.
Widely tolerated and with relatively few side effects, the effects of Restylane last for around six months.
